We offer superb quality and service and take time to ensure that you and the recipient of your gift are happy with the delivery. If you are not sure whether a gift is suitable there is always someone at the end of the line to offer advice or alternatives. Because we take time to source, wrap, decorate and deliver our packages with care, we cannot offer a refund on ill chosen gifts. We are, however, prepared to discuss unique situations with you and if acceptable and void of financial loss to Dial-a-Surprize, we will be happy to replace or refund your gift. If you experience disappointment or incorrect delivery from Dial-a-Surprize we will be happy to discuss your options.

We recognise your need for appropriate protection and the careful management of the personal information you share with us (any information by which you can be identified, such as name, address, and telephone number). The Dial-a-Surprize website is entirely safe and easy to use and offers the secure communication you expect.

In general, you can visit this shopping site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. But, because we offer a personalised service, your information can be shared with us to inform the recipient of your gift as to who you are. You may, of course, also remain anonymous. Your information will never be disclosed to third parties.

Your submitted details will only be used by us to enhance your online shopping experience. The only use of your information would be to send you our monthly newsletter packed with special offers, gifting ideas and other happy news – if you have opted for it of course. The only other information we will ever disclose to third parties is aggregate information about our users. Aggregate information will never identify you. It only identifies the user population in general terms, i.e. 52% male. The aggregate information would be made available only to our advertisers and partners.

Furthermore, we guarantee the security of your payment and contact details you submit to our shopping basket. When you decide to make a purchase with us, the details you submit will only be used to fulfill your order. Currently, payments are done via EFT and therefore no banking details are made available through cyber space. We also accept VISA and MASTERCARDS telephonically, by email (if you wish), sms or fax. We charge a R45 surcharge for any cash deposits and if international transfers are made we do NOT accept any bank charges – the purchaser is responsible for ALL bank charges. The full amount, void of any bank charges needs to be transferred into our account before we dispatch your gift.

You should be aware that if we are requested by the police or any other regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities to provide your personal information we are entitled do so.

All products displayed on this site are subject to availability and will be delivered only within the RSA unless otherwise specified and agreed upon by Dial-a-Surprize in writing. International courier or postage fees will then apply. All prices are displayed on the site are quoted in ZAR and are valid and effective only in the RSA.

Certain products may pose difficult to send to different parts of the country – in these circumstances alternative choices will be offered. Dial-a-Surprize reserves the right without prior notice to discontinue or change specifications on products and services offered on this site without incurring any obligations.

Items purchased on the site or through Dial-a-Surprize are all high quality products. If we are unable to supply any item ordered we will contact you directly to seek alternatives and/or conclude whether the balance of items ordered should be delivered an/or the additional items be ordered for you for later delivery. Should you notwithstanding a delay in certain items still agree to accept delivery, you will be liable for payment for the items correctly delivered as per any amended order and applicable invoice.

We make every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of the products that appear on the site. However, as the actual colours you will see depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that the display of any colour will be accurate.

You will be charged the prices as they are reflected on the products at point of sale, subject to availability. A delivery fee will be charged for each order placed by you and will be calculated at completion of your order stipulated prior to checkout. These delivery fees are subject to fluctuations in petrol costs and subsequent increases in courier fees over which we have no control.

Delivery within the Cape Town CBD will cost R35, Delivery within a 25km radius of the CBD will cost R55, Delivery over 25km from the CBD including Durbanville central, Melkbosstrand (excluding Paarl, Stellenbosch, Franschoek, Strand, Gordons Bay, Langebaan) will cost R75, Delivery to Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschoek, Strand, Gordons Bay, Langebaan will cost R125. Courier costs to different main centres in South Africa overnight express delivered to your door through our courier partners X-International – averaging between R85 – R125 depending on size and weight of parcel. Actual courier costs to be confirmed prior to delivery in case it exceeds the minimum amount quoted. At checkout you will need to choose your delivery method and if this varies greatly from what we have stipulated, you will receive an immediate email with details.

All prices are inclusive of VAT charged at 14%.

Dial-a-Surprize is authorised to debit the amount payable by you for any products ordered against your VISA or MASTER card. All we require is your credit card information over the telephone until our payment gateway has been integrated into our website. Alternatively, you may choose to do a direct deposit into our bank account or deposit the amount through internet banking (EFT). Dial-a-Surprize requires full settlement before delivery can take place and proof of such payment should be faxed (086 684 0207) or emailed ( hello@dial-a-surprize.co.za) as confirmation of your order and prior to the delivery of any product.

The Dial-a-Surprize entities shall not be liable for any loss, damage (whether direct, indirect or consequential) or expense of any nature whatsoever which may be suffered as a result of or which may be attributable, directly or indirectly, to the use of or reliance upon this website (including any information contained thereon) or the internet.

This may result from one of the following:

• The identification of a pricing or product description error.
• Non provision by the purchaser of proof of payment via fax or email.
• Non acceptance of a gift at point of delivery.

You will be notified by telephone when any of the above occurs.

Please note that you are entitled to cancel your order for a gift delivery provided that it is done 24 hours before delivery, UNLESS the gift was personally sourced for you. The latter applies if flowers were ordered according to your specifications from our suppliers. If sourced based on a specific request you are liable for full payment of the sourced item if already sourced (excluding delivery). If you wish to change your order you may contact us telephonically on 021 461 0821 or 011 391 3282 or email orders@dial-a-surprize.co.za between 9am and 13h00, Monday to Thursday for delivery the next day and between 10am and 5pm on Friday for delivery on Monday.

No cancellations can be accepted on the day of delivery of an item purchased at Dial-a-Surprize. No cancellations can be accepted for special celebration days (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Secretary's Day, Father's Day etc.) unless made at least 7 days in advance.

A full refund will be provided if payment has already been made, less a 10% admin fee.

Dial-a-Surprize delivers from Monday to Friday between 08h30 and 6pm. We also deliver over weekends if the orders were placed before 12h00 on the Friday before the weekend. Deliveries that are required on the same day are requested to be placed before 12 am on that day and is subject to whether there is space in our delivery schedule.

If the day is booked deliveries cannot be done on the same day. Deliveries will be effected to the address supplied by you. A delivery book will be signed to confirm receipt of delivery. No responsibility for the gift will be taken once the gift has been signed for that it has been received in good order. Any person who receives the gift at the delivery address provided is conclusively presumed to be authorised to accept delivery. Should no-one be in attendance at the time of delivery, the courier or Dial-a-Surprize will retain the products and a notice will be left at the delivery address to this effect. The courier or Dial-a-Surprize will contact you to make new arrangements for delivery or collection. In instances where large distances are covered we reserve the right to charge an additional delivery fee. It is therefore necessary that you ensure that a duly authorised person be in attendance on the day that delivery is due.

Deliveries can also be effected after hours and during weekends. All we require is due notice. In unique circumstances we request that you call 021 461 0821 or 083 297 3777 in addition to emailing hello@dial-a-surprize.co.za.

Should any of the following situations arise: incorrect delivery address received from customer or no one is available to receive your gift. The gift will be returned to the office, we will then contact you or the recipient to arrange a re-scheduled delivery. An additional deliver fee will have to be paid before a 2nd attempt to delivery will be made.

We value your comments, ideas, suggestions and feedback. You warrant that the comments submitted by you do not and will not violate any rights of any party or will not contain any defamatory, unlawful, abusive or obscene material.
